It is one of the worst disasters Mangalore had ever witnessed. Most of the travelers must be the breadwinners of their families who were quite happy to board the plane that was touching their hometown. I can imagine the feelings and excitement when one is returning home, not to mention the excitement of family members who are foreseeing the arrival of their family member who went abroad to uplift their family. No one had expected this type of horrible accident. However, the fate was destined differently against the wishes of all of us. Gireesh, Bajpe, Mangalore

Lakshman Hejamady said we are not here to blame the authorities nor the government on their role but simply need to admit that we are not at all equipped to face any small nor such major mishaps. Aren’t we comparatively very much behind when it comes to saving human life just compare it with many others nations? Pray that Central and State Government reflects on this reality which is a major drawback and gives a serious taught on such important issues in their agenda.

I have been travelling in Air India since long time. I came to Mangalore on leave for two months. As my vacation ends on May 30. Now I am afraid of going back in Air India Express. This time I am planning to book my ticket in Oman airways. Kunhambu, Uduma, Kasargod / Sharjah
